A bit about me. I’m Jen, and I had never even been on a bike until 2008.
Prior to meeting my husband, I saw no reason to–motorcycles didn’t really hold any real allure for me. But, they were important to Andrew. When I first met him, he proudly showed me a picture of the beautiful new F800 that he had planned to take possession of in January. That plan hit a snag when the release of the F800 in the US was delayed–until September.
So, he got an HP2 instead, and outfitted it for a pillion.
I’ll let that sink in. He outfitted an HP2…for a pillion. Of course, I’d never been on a motorcycle before, so I had no preconceived ideas on what a ride would be like. So, when I first went for a ride in January of 2008 (in New Hampshire) (on an HP2), I didn’t know what to expect.
I loved it. I LOVED IT!
Later, I would learn about the relative comfort of an R1200GS, especially in comparison to the HP2.
This blog is about our trips and adventures on motorcycles. It’s been a real discovery process for me to find out how much I enjoy riding, viewing the world from the “back seat” of a bike.
Hop on, and enjoy the ride!

Hi Jen, I’ve enjoyed reading this blog and it parallels my story a bit with my husband’s passion for bikes and my inevitable growing one. We’re currently living in Vermont. Anyhow, the main reason I’m writing is that you look very much like my friend, Jenny Busker, who I worked with in Chicago ages ago though it’s unlikely and, no doubt a coincidence. Just had to check! Regards, Susannah

Thanks for the nice words about the blog…I am having fun writing it! I am not Jenny Busker, but coincidentally did live in Chicago for a bit. They say everyone has a twin! Again, thanks for reading. If you are in Vermont, you should drop by the hill climbs!
